This handmade book is inspired by Mac Miller’s Balloonerism album and uses my original typeface, Blade. The typeface is thick, sharp, and bold, matching the album’s strong energy and emotion. The book mixes expressive type with a handmade feel to show both the power and honesty in Miller’s music. The binding technique I used is known as Japanese stab binding.
